User preference network of fusing knowledge-aware and time-aware

Abstract

In the field of knowledge-aware recommendation, embedding propagation methods can mine the structured information of the knowledge graph and also can obtained the semantic information between n-hop entities. However, with the increase of the spread, the embedding propagation method will lose part of the structure information, the user representation obtained in this way is coarse-grained and cannot adequately characterize the user's preferences. Aiming at these problems, this paper proposed an user preference network of fusing knowledge-aware and time-aware(FKTUPN). Firstly, FKTUPN generated the first-order embedding of the knowledge graph in the embedding-layer, and separately modeled the fine-grained user prefe-rence. Then it divided the time slot by random walk and performed temporal context encoding to get contextual information of KG. Subsequently, the contribution of the representation was distinguished and propagated through the knowledge-aware attention mechanism. Finally, it aggregated users and items of different propagation levels in the prediction layer, and obtained the recommendation result after multiplying these two representations. Experiments show that result on three datasets: Amazon-book, Last-FM and Yelp is superior to the baseline model in terms of recall@20 and NDCG@20, fine-grained user preference representation and full utilization of structured information can effectively improve the accuracy of recommendations.
