Abstract

Randomness is crucial to the security of public key encryption schemes. If randomness does not meet the requirements, the scheme may face security threats. Lattice-based public key encryption schemes are expected to become the mainstream encryption technology in the future, but due to the complexity and novelty of lattice-based cryptography, there is currently a lack of systematic and in-depth research on the analysis of randomness failures in lattice-based public key encryption schemes. Firstly, this paper reviewed the characterization and countermeasures of randomness failures in traditional public key encryption schemes, and then deeply analyzed the causes and mechanisms of randomness failures in lattice-based public key encryption schemes. Finally, this paper compared the randomness failures of signature schemes, revealing the important role and key position of randomness in public key encryption. This paper filled the research gap in randomness failures of lattice-based public key encryption schemes, and provided inspiration for solving randomness failures in lattice-based public key encryption schemes, improved the security and reliability of the scheme.
