Crowdsourcing worker selection model for software crowdsourcing

Abstract

In software crowdsourcing, selecting unsuitable workers often leads to task failure and reduced satisfaction among task publishers. To address these issues, this study proposed a software crowdsourcing worker selection model that integrated worker capability and worker-task matching. The model consisted of a capability assessment model based on linear programming and TOPSIS, and a worker-task matching model based on matching function learning. Experiments were conducted on a real-world crowdsourcing dataset comprising 9 450 tasks, 8 747 workers, and 98 940 bidding records. The results demonstrate that the proposed model significantly improves task publisher satisfaction and outperforms baseline models in metrics such as top-k Acc and MRR. This study highlights the effectiveness of integrating capability and matchability for worker selection and provides a novel approach to enhancing task allocation mechanisms in software crowdsourcing platforms.
