Abstract

The task of emergency event extraction aims to detect and extract the event types and elements contained within news reports of emergency events, providing detailed and structured information for public safety and emergency response. To address the issue of neglecting contextual information caused by sparse textual data in the domain of emergency event extraction, this paper proposes an emergency event extraction model based on a context-enhanced hybrid prompt template and a position-aware attention mechanism. First, a context-enhanced hybrid prompt template is designed, which incorporates task-related prompts into the input text to improve the model's understanding and reasoning ability for the task. Additionally, a position-aware attention mechanism is introduced, capturing key se-mantic information from both forward and backward directions to overcome the symmetry limitations of traditional attention mechanisms. Experimental results on a Chinese emergency event corpus show that the proposed method achieves F1 scores of 91.8% for event type detection and 82.0% for event element extraction.
