Multi-priority dynamic scheduling-based for high-density WBAN task offloading

Abstract

To addresses the challenges of multi-priority data transmission and resource constraints in high-density wireless body area networks (WBAN) for smart healthcare. A task offloading strategy integrating dynamic priority evaluation and quantum optimization was proposed. First, a high-density WBAN network model was constructed in the healthcare Internet of Things (H-IoT) scenario, integrating task priority layering and dynamic channel state awareness to establish a communication quality assessment system based on physiological data characteristics. Second, a multi-dimensional dynamic scheduling framework was designed to adaptively adjust task priority weights by analyzing physiological parameter deviations, data backlog duration, and preemption events, while ensuring low-latency transmission for emergency data through preemptive scheduling. Furthermore, an improved quantum genetic algorithm (IQGA) was developed by optimizing local search capabilities via dynamic quantum rotation gate adjustments and enhancing global convergence with catastrophe correction functions. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed strategy reduces average task processing time by 71.51%, system energy consumption by 88.21%, high-priority task latency by 89.63%, and improves convergence speed by 78.74%, achieving a 114.43% overall system gain. This work provides theoretical and technical references for real-time resource allocation in dense medical IoT environments.
