AACD: adaptive attribute-collaborative material diffusion recommendation algorithm

Abstract

To address the limitations of traditional bipartite-based mass diffusion algorithms in capturing user preference heterogeneity and item attribute diversity, an Adaptive Attribute-Collaborative Material Diffusion algorithm (AACD) was proposed. First, an attribute competitiveness coefficient was introduced to capture user preferences in a differentiated manner. Second, a user–attribute coupling structure was constructed to adaptively regulate diffusion paths and intensities, thereby mining higher-order collaborative signals and enhancing the flexibility of resource propagation. Finally, a steady-state solution analysis was further applied to ensure algorithmic convergence. Experiments were conducted on three public datasets including Ciao, MoiveLens-100K and MovieLens-1M. The results show that on the MovieLens-1M dataset, recall@N, precision@N, and NDCG@N increased by 6.57%, 7.03%, and 11.37% respectively compared with the best baseline model. These results demonstrate that AACD effectively alleviates resource allocation bias and popularity shift, achieving improved recommendation accuracy and robustness.
