Attribute-hiding cross-hospital medical data sharing scheme based on inner product functional encryption

Abstract

To address the challenges in balancing fine-grained access control with attribute privacy and the resilience limitations of centralized key management for cross-hospital data sharing, this paper proposes an attribute-hiding scheme based on inner-product functional encryption. First, the scheme encodes access policies and user attributes into hash vectors and makes access decisions through inner-product computations in the encrypted domain, thereby enabling fine-grained control while concealing sensitive attributes. Second, a cloud-edge-end collaborative architecture supports the system, where the attribute authority manages key generation and attribute audit, and edge nodes conduct pre-decryption to reduce the computational load on users. Finally, security analysis demonstrates that the scheme resists collusion attacks between the attribute authority and hospitals, as well as attribute correlation collusion attacks, and achieves IND-CPA security. Experimental results confirm the scheme's efficiency in terms of computational and communication overhead.
