Fault diagnosis of labeled time Petri net systems based on observable MSCG

Abstract

To address the challenge of fault diagnosis in labeled time Petri net (LTPN) with unobservable transitions, we propose an efficient diagnosis method based on an observable modified state class graph (MSCG) . The approach begins by constructing an observable MSCG according to the observed time-label sequence (TLS) , which captures partial system behavior and thereby avoids the computation of the full state space. By analyzing the satisfiability of timing constraints associated with transitions in the MSCG, we derive a set of paths consistent with the observed TLS. Then it achieves accurate fault identification and diagnosis. Finally, we validate the effectiveness of the proposed method in terms of diagnostic efficiency and state space control through an LTPN-based model of an automated manufacturing system.
