Redactable blockchain with one-time subordinate trapdoor

Abstract

Some redactable blockchain schemes do not have trapdoor revocation and update functions, some schemes do not limit the number of times the trapdoor can be used for redacting, and some schemes have large computational time overhead. Aiming at these problems, based on elliptic curve cryptography, this paper designed algorithms for parameter generation, trapdoor generation, hash, verification, trapdoor update, pre-editing, adaptation, edit-verification, respectively. It used the master trapdoor to revoke and update the subordinate trapdoor, and the subordinate trapdoor could only adapt the specified message once. The paper constructed a chameleon hash with a one-time subordinate trapdoor, and formally proved its correctness, updatability, collision resistance of the master trapdoor and one-time nature of the subordinate trapdoor. And then based on the constructed chameleon hash, it proposed a new redactable blockchain scheme, and applied the scheme to the audit of chronic disease cards. Finally, it conducted performance analysis and experimental evaluation on the scheme. The results show that compared with the existing schemes, the proposed scheme is secure and controllable, its algorithms save about 85.4% of the time overhead on average, and its efficiency advantage increases with the increase of the execution times of key algorithms.
