Abstract

To address the privacy and security challenges in data sharing within Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANET) , this paper proposes a privacy protection scheme based on reputation management. The scheme integrates distributed storage via IPFS and smart contracts to ensure data traceability and immutability. By introducing a reputation mechanism and employing homomorphic encryption to protect feedback ratings, the system enables dynamic updates of user reputation scores, effectively mitigating privacy leakage risks caused by malicious behaviors. Leveraging a lightweight data processing mechanism, the proposed scheme is particularly suitable for resource-constrained VANET environments. Experimental results demonstrate that, while maintaining the same level of privacy protection, the scheme outperforms existing methods in terms of computational and communication overhead.
